Job Title:
TECHNICAL SALES SUPPORT

Reporting To:
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Department:
PORT TALBOT

Purpose of role:

Reporting to the Managing Director in providing a supporting function to successfully deliver sales and growth for the business in line with company strategy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES;
Work closely with both the Sales Manager and Business Development Manager, Production and
Installation management to ensure customer requirements are met

Note:

this is not a project coordination function involving contact with the customer, but ensuring that all parties are fully informed as to customer expectations.

Process all enquiries, passing to relevant personnel and ensure CRM system is populated.
Liaise with client to establish exact scope of work and that technical details are understood.
Prepare quote and Project summary sheets using current templates.
Quote reviewed by others and issued.
Close liaison with customer pending receipt of purchase order.
Site survey undertaken if required.
Project handover set up and document prepared.

Maintain appropriate filing system, to ensure only relevant information is correctly filed and easily accessed, with previous versions being archived.

Arrange appointments as required.
Undertake desk research as required to identify new prospects using Glenigans or similar business intelligence feed and other resources.
Promote and protect the company's aims, reputation and image.

Experience
Engineering background or has worked within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

Competencies (Knowledge, skills)

High level of competency with MS office suite of software, including MS Project
Ability to communicate at all levels within the company and externally, commanding respect and trust.
Knowledge of CAD desirable
Tactful and patient, yet firm in dealings with customers
Ability to prioritise effectively
Good organisational skills and ability to solve problems "onthe go"
Work to agreed timescales

Salary:
£22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
