Project Manager - Hybrid - Newport - £42,22- Permanent

The Opportunity


Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a large public sector organisation to recruit several Project Managers to join an organisation which depends on its IT services to operate and innovate effectively.


They are offering a salary of up to £42,222 with an employer pension contribution of 27.1% and a strong focus on learning and development opportunities.

They offer hybrid working with a couple of days a week in their office based in Newport.


_You must be a resident of the UK and have consistently lived in the UK for the past 5 years to pass security clearance_

What the Project Manager will be doing
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full
end-to-end delivery of projects.

  • Maintaining the MS project programme and project plan including running planning sessions to ensure the plan contains the most accurate information with dependencies identified within the plan and tasks linked accordingly
  • Risks are identified against activity within the plan
  • Provide leadership to the project team to ensure direction and scope detailed within the business case are maintained
  • Provide project reports that contain information relating to project performance and forecast completion of activities in relation to time and cost
  • Work with resource owners to provide solutions to project forward demand

What the successful IT Project Manager will bring to the team

  • Previous experience in delivering highvalue, complex projects, and programmes
  • Indepth knowledge of project management principles and PM software (such as MS project and risk management)
  • Expertise in creating and managing a variety of project management artefacts such as detailed GanttGantt, POAPPOAP, Level 0 plan, Milestone tracker
  • Aptitude for working in a challenging, fastpaced dynamic blended team (made up of contract and permanent staff) environment
  • Ability to manage your own workload setting your priorities and balancing competing demands for your support and input
  • Comfortable in requesting and actioningactioning items from other team members.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skills
  • Experience in delivering in IT or Business Change environments
