As part of the Defence & Security Business Unit, you will be an integral part of our work winning team.

Working closely with the Defence Proposals Manager, Portfolio Leads and Delivery Leads you will coordinate all aspects of proposals for our Defence & Security clients to produce winning proposals that communicate WSP's solutions in a compelling and consistent voice, reflect our value proposition and align to the client drivers.

A flexible approach is needed to meet the changing profile of our bidding activity; likely to be a combination of single strategic pursuits and leading or supporting multiple smaller proposals.

The role will require UK wide travel and requires requires attendance in a WSP office at least 3 times a week.

Your new role, what's involved?
The role will be tailored to your level of experience but is likely to include
- ***Assisting or leading on prospect capture activities

Establishing and managing bid teams including engaging with supply chain partners if required
Managing communications through client procurement portals
Managing distribution of classified documents and providing guidance on security management procedures
Assisting in prospect qualification, facilitating go/no go decisions to triage opportunities.
Working with bid authors and technical authorities to convert knowledge into winning solutions and proposals.
Articulating solutions in high quality submissions, including drafting/editing proposal responses.
Supporting value proposition development
Ensuring appropriate bid governance and bid review processes are followed.
Supporting lessons learnt processes to identify good practice, enable price benchmarking and suggest improvements to work winning processes.
Leveraging knowledge management networks to make knowledge reuse on bids more efficient.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Relevant experience of work winning and bid authorship in the Defence & Security sector
Ability to work to UK security requirements for official sensitive classified documents
Very high levels of oral and written expression, and IT literacy
Ability to assimilate large volumes of information to understand, plan and manage workflows
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise
A proactive approach, using initiative and taking responsibility for your own actions
Excellent people skills to lead, encourage, motivate and enthuse others
Confidence to delegate to others at all levels in the business

The following would be advantageous:

Professional membership (either of technical or other relevant body eg APMP)
Experience of InDesign
