Hybrid working: 2 days office, 3 days remote

Hours:
Mon - Thurs 9am - 5.30pm, Fri 9am - 4.15pm


Our client, a global leader in the creative promotional merchandise sector and one of the largest promotional product suppliers in the world is now seeking an experienced
Group Sustainability Managerto manage their sustainability responsibilities, supporting the business in becoming a leader in sustainability in their industry.

Someone who can directly influence their teams, suppliers and clients in workingtowards a sustainable future.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conducting a full review of all aspects of the business that impact the environment, developing and implementing plans to monitor measure and improve performance (e.g. logistics, suppliers, local utilities, waste).
  • Implement a consistent carbon footprint monitoring program across each site, with measurables, and targets that can be reported on monthly and tracked for improvement.
  • Developing, implementing, and reporting on KPI's to provide measurable improvement against sustainability objectives.
  • Develop and publish an annual sustainability report, detailing performance against agreed objectives and provide a roadmap for improvement. The report should be aligned with a recognised standard such as the global reporting initiative (GRI) to providea full and balanced picture of the organisation's performance
  • Implementing sustainability measures to monitor their suppliers, drive initiatives such as reduction or elimination of singleuse plastic from within their supply chains and warehouses.
  • Taking responsibility for the annual EcoVadis submission and ensuring that year on year improvements are made to ensure that they are the best in class.
  • Developing and setting internal sustainability measures for products that they source so that both suppliers and products can be awarded sustainability ratings.
  • Develop and implement regular sustainability workshops, and training sessions across the business and provide regular updates on progress.
  • Develop and implement a meaningful sustainability score for products sold by the company.

What you'll need:


  • We're looking for someone who is engaging, as you'll be inspiring employees across the group to engage and participate in environment and community activities and broader Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
  • Has a passion to drive sustainability throughout the business
  • Has an understanding how the products they buy and sell have an impact on our drive towards sustainability
  • As the 'goto' person, it's key that you have knowledge of or a keen interest in, efficient energy technologies, energy legislation and environmental reduction programmes.
  • You'll be expected to provide highquality advice and drive improvements across the business.
  • Has a 'cando' attitude, is methodical in their approach and can demonstrate results.
  • Confident and driven, you'll be able to engage and communicate effectively with a wide range of global stakeholders across the business.
