George Eliot Academy - Nuneaton, Warwickshire (with additional location requirements)

You will join us as an IT Technician and will work as part of the IT-Services Technical Support Team, working towards the successful improvement and maintenance of the ICT equipment within the organisation.

You will help contribute to the continued learningexperience of students and the working environment of staff by supporting a provision of suitable I.T equipment, systems and software that is fit for purpose, secure and well managed.


IT Technician Requirements:


  • A relevant computing qualification
  • Experience of computer hardware; PCs, Laptops, Servers, Printers, MFDs, Networking equipment, Wi-Fi, structured cabling and projection equipment.
  • An understanding of networking and routing protocols; TCPIP v4 & v6, RIP, SAP, DNS, DHCP and basic firewall configuration
  • Hold a current driving licence and access to own transport with business insurance

You may have experience of the following: IT Support Technician, Windows Server, TCP/IP, Network Engineer, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, MCITP, IT Support Engineer, Information Technology, Technical Support, SQL, Hyper-V, Group Policy, 1st Line Support, SystemsAdministrator, Infrastructure Engineer, 2nd Line Support, Network Administrator, etc.
