Description

Our client is looking for qualified NVQ Assessors to deliver high quality training and assessment to meet contractual requirements, awarding body standards and in line with the company's policies and procedures.


A Typical Day
You will arrive at your respective Prison establishment by 7.30am. You will meet your learners at 8am. At around 11.30am, your learners will return to their respective wings for lunch. Between 11.30am and approx.

13.30p, you will take your 30 minute break and complete admin duties (portfolio cross referencing, marking of work books etc.).You will be with your learners from 13.30pm until 16.15pm.

at 16.30pm you will leave your respective establishment.


Key Accountabilities


Deliver a high quality vocational competency based curriculum up to a Level three utilising awarding body standards/criteria, fully understanding the standards for the awards being delivered and assessed.


Ensure that all learner records are accurate and maintained in line with the company's policies and procedures, GDPR and contractual requirements.


Ensuring a full caseload of learners (in line with contract) is maintained at all times with the generating of starts through excellent communication skills and relationship building with learners and prison staff.

Ensure all learners complete timely in line with the company's delivery model and programme specification


If delivering FLT courses, ensure a maximum of 3 per course and course durations are in line with RTITB requirements.


Take responsibility for continual professional development and participate in activities to ensure skills and qualifications are in line with sector best practice and contractual requirements.


To maintain a high standard of customer care and to contribute towards the development of a culture of customer service excellence within the organisation.


Key Performance Indicators
Achieve monthly enrolment targets

Ensure all withdrawn learners are replaced with the same month withdrawn (Wales) or with the next cohort (England)

Maintain a full caseload of learners (in line with contract)

Maintain a minimum of 92% retention rate of learners

Ensure learners complete timely within the agreed timeframe

To ensure learner inductions are completed within 14 days of enrolment (vocational)

To ensure learner observations are completed within first 4 weeks (dependant on course being delivered)


Ensure all administrational tasks are completed timely according with the company's procedures, policies and contractual requirements, eg, Learner Tracker completed weekly, Employee timesheet completed weekly.

To ensure all completed portfolios are submitted to for internal quality assurance within 5 days of learner completion

To ensure that all paperwork is submitted within 3 days of completion of RTITB

To ensure any vocational portfolio referrals are actioned and resubmitted for internal verification within 10 days of referral.


Person Specification
Must hold TAQA or equivalent qualification in Assessment/Verification (A1 or D32/D33)

If delivering Fork Lift Truck Training, RTITB FLT Instructor and Counterbalance Licence

Have managed a caseload of at least 30 learners (per quarter)

Ability to support those with a range of learning needs

A good level of IT skills

Prepared to undertake an enhanced prison clearance check

Flexibility to work at multiple locations

Full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle which is insured for business use.


Hours of Work:
7.30am pm Monday - Thursday (No Friday working)
