Senior Regulatory Specialist - Chemicals

Luxfer MEL Technologies, a global leader in the production of high-performance, specialty materials and chemicals for the Healthcare, Catalysis, and Aerospace markets, is seeking a motivated and
experienced Senior Regulatory Specialist to join our Quality Assurance and Compliance Department.


This pivotal role involves coordinating and maintaining compliance activities across the company to adhere to all applicable chemical regulatory schemes worldwide.


Location:
Swinton, Manchester, UK

Hours: 37 hours per week, with occasional international travel required


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure safe working practices in compliance with company HSE requirements
  • Manage global reporting, notifications, and registrations for commercial and strategic projects
  • Monitor budgetary requirements for compliance activities and contribute to the department's KPIs
  • Support continuous improvement across the company and conduct internal and external audits on compliance aspects
  • Serve as the daytoday lead for interactions with Only Representatives, Consortia, and SIEFs
  • Monitor and assess compliance and risks in accordance with Company, State, Federal, and other laws and guidelines
  • Utilize the company's Intranet, SharePoint, and ERP systems for compliance tracking and reporting
  • Deliver internal training and updates on compliance aspects and manage any other duties within competence as requested

What you will bring to the role:

  • Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a regulatory role with knowledge of UK and EU REACH registrations
  • Proficiency in Global Regulatory Schemes
  • Intermediatelevel Excel skills for data analysis and basic proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Higher education in Environmental Science or Toxicology
  • ISO9001 or ISO14001 auditor training
  • Knowledge of TSCA regulation, FDA/food contact regulations, and compiling SDS under CLP and GHS
  • Experience with IUCLID, CDX, Microsoft SharePoint, and SAP

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong organizational, problemsolving, and data analysis skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment
