37.5 hours per week - covering 5 days out of 7, 9am - 5pm

We are seeking a Support Assistant with passion and drive to provide support and encourage our residents with a range of complex needs to achieve their potential and live more independently within their community.

High Street is comprised of six rooms in a shared house and three self-contained one-bedroom flats. We provide support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs and learning disabilities. You will work alongside a dedicated staff team with a passion for the work they deliver.

The role of Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality, hands-on, personalised support service
  • Supporting our residents to live as independently as possible
  • Ensuring that residents are supported by developing their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
  • Encouraging social inclusion and helping residents to build their confidence, resilience and selfesteem
  • Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents
  • Maintaining a safe environment for residents, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices

Skills and experiences:


  • You will be empathetic and nonjudgmental with a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
  • A positive, 'cando' attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills
  • NVQ2 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
