Description

Our client is a successful chartered accountancy practice, based in Retford and Grantham. They are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the business to support senior staff with a range of financial activities for clients across a selectionof different industries.

About the role
The role would suit a knowledgeable and experienced individual, keen to take the next step in their career.

The Bookkeeper will carry out a range of accounting, cash management and VAT functions, working remotely at clients' premises where necessary.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Managing regular bookkeeping requirements and records;
  • Producing and submitting VAT returns, including liaising with HMRC where required;
  • Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers;
  • Completing reconciliation work for client bank accounts and cash management;
  • Being a regular contact point for clients to provide information and resolve queries.
The ideal person

The ideal person will be AAT qualified or have suitable experience of working in a bookkeeping bureau.

They will also be able to work across a range of different software, including Xero, Quickbooks, Sage Business Cloud and Sage Line 50.

The person will have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills for interacting with clients regularly. They will be enthusiastic and able to work closely and effectively with other departments across the business.
