What will you be doing?:

  • Our Crematorium team provide a comprehensive range of crematoria and funeral related services whilst providing sensitive frontofhouse bereavement care services adopting tact, diplomacy, empathy, and demonstrating integrity and understanding throughout contact with the bereaved.
  • As a Crematorium Services Driver, you will arrange and undertake collections of coffined deceased and cremated remains from both Central Coop homes and other homes in England and Wales, always providing a clean and wellmaintained vehicle.
  • This is a varied role, where you will also be responsible for completing safety and security patrols of the grounds and buildings, basic maintenance of floral courts, cremator rooms, service yard, building and general grounds maintenance.

How will I know if I am right for this role?:

***- Being professional and empathetic, you take pride in your appearance, act with compassion and carry out your duties in a calm and dignified way.
Physical ability to lift and carry the deceased person within their coffin is essential.

You'll need to be comfortable with duties that require you to have close treatment of the bereaved family's loved one, ensuring that all activities are carried out respectfully and with dignity.

Working closely with your colleagues as a family unit, who flex and support each other in a variety of duties, you will need to hold a full driving licence and be ready to assist across varying shifts.
