Description
Fixed Term - 1 year - Maternity Cover - 35 Hours
We have big goals over the next few years.
We're going to be fighting for mental health in a way we never have before.
Together we'll be working to make sure everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the support and respect they deserve.
Will you join us?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to help Mind in its legal work.
As well as assisting with interventions in test case litigation, you will be involved in overseeing Mind's legal helpline service, preparing written materials and providing training on mentalhealth law, mental capacity, community care, discrimination, human rights and judicial review.
You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister entitled to hold a practising certificate and have detailed knowledge of at least two of these areas of law.
We areparticularly interested in hearing from people who have experience of human rights and policy work and mental health law in relation to children and young persons.
You will have a focus on young people's rights and will contribute to Mind's policy and campaigns work in this area as well as drafting our rights based information for young people.
**Closing date: 10th March 2023
