Founded in 2010 My client is a disruptive financial technology (FinTech) company.

Their clients are made up of Leading investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, commodity houses, and brokerage firms (collectively representing over 20 trillion dollarsof AUM).

My client AI-assisted Software Products offer market-leading trade data analysis in the following areas: Market Abuse; Operational Risk; Best Execution; Anti Money Laundering and Comms Surveillance.


The Role
We are looking for a proactive individual to own and develop on the desktop support function. The primary function of this role is to provide desktop support to the end users. This role requires initiative and excellent communication skills to ensure consistentdelivery of services.


Responsibilities:


  • Proactive monitoring and prioritisation of incoming IT support requests on the internal ticketing system
  • Develop and maintain support documentation, and standard operating procedures to improve user experience over time
  • Develop and mentor more junior members of the team
  • Coordinate with other teams within the firm (or external contractors) for escalation of issues
  • Perform root cause analysis of incidents, and proactively identify repeated incidents, to minimise incident reoccurrence
  • Report on monthly KPIs to track common support themes, or problematic areas
  • Asset management of all UK devices and equipment

Essential Skills/Competencies

  • Have a proven track record of handson desktop support experience
  • Operate in a proactive manner to identify some issues before they become widespread
  • Supporting all levels of users in a consultative and collaborative manner, managing expectations, and seeing issues through to completion
  • Have experience with some/all of:
  • Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office 365, and Teams
  • Citrix
  • Active Directory
  • SharePoint
  • Networking concepts
  • Basic security best practices, such as knowledge of AntiVirus software, Phishing concepts, Spam, etc
  • Peripheral hardware (printers and scanners, external monitors, etc)
