Driver / Groundsman / Handyman needed for family based in Cobham, Surrey - £45,000 - £55,000 + DOE

Monday - Friday

Hours: 07:30 - 17:00 with occasional weekend work

We are looking for a fantastic all-rounder Driver/ Groundsman to join a lovely family who are based in Cobham, Surrey.

The family has 2 children, 10 years, and 15 years of age.
This is a fully staffed household so you will be a good team player and be proactive.

The driving element to the role will mainly be driving the children to and from school, running errands and sometimes driving the principal to meetings in London.

A Mercedes S500 will be provided for driving duties.

You will also be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the household, ensuring the daily operations of the house runs smoothly.

The family have another property in Weybridge, and you will also be required to assist with ad hoc groundsman / handyman work, run errands when needed and being an onsite contact at the various properties for contractors.

You will be required to be flexible in this role.

The core hours will be Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:00, however you may be required to provide additional assistance after hours or over the occasional weekend.

The salary offered will be dependent on experience, skills and previous earnings.

Duties for the role include:

Driving the principal to meetings in central London when needed
Driving the children to and from school and their various activities
Keeping the fleet of vehicles clean and in good order for use, maintenance and servicing, road toll charges and road tax etc.
Be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the household
Assist with ad hoc groundsman / handyman work
Run errands when needed
Changing light bulbs, fuses, checking boilers &radiators, checking security and alarm systems, and performing minor household repairs.
Maintaining outdoor area (there is a gardener undertaking all mowing and maintenance) but sweeping leaves and making sure the outside and garages are always presentable.
General helping where needed, a real muck in attitude needed
Being the onsite point of contact, liaising with contractors, moving luggage, receiving deliveries

To be considered for this role you must:

You must be friendly, easy going, professional and a team player with experience working in a similar role within a private household
Have 5+ years' experience as a Driver / Groundsman / Handyman
Prior experience working for private families
Enhanced DBS certificate or willing to get one
Excellent contactable references
Clean and valid Driver's Licence
