Currently recruiting for a leading blue-chip client with a global presence who are looking to hire a IT Support Engineer to support all existing/new client infrastructure installations, assist with projects on the customers systems and assisting with themanagement of all IT related 3rd party vendors on site.
This role would suit an all-round IT Support Engineer who has been involved in areas such as windows server, backup, networking etc.
Any experience within a datacentre environment or motivation to work in that space would be desirable.
Responsibilities / Essential Skills
Good knowledge/understanding of IT infrastructure including servers, networking, firewalls, PCs, hardware components and their functions.
Carry out various BAU tasks relating to the customers site infrastructure including backup management, general system health checks, resiliency testing.
Attend and actively participate in service, incident and project meetings as and when required to do so.
Escalate any issues or concerns relating to the data halls
Assist with the team providing vendor assistance (incl. escorting) when replacement parts or other external services are required to assist with an incident/fault, ensure that the vendor is being checked/monitored at regular intervals and that the work areais returned to an acceptable state prior to the Vendor leaving site.
