Child Autism Support WorkerKey responsibilities:
- Assist with the delivery of the curriculum, including lesson planning and preparation
- Work oneonone with children or in small groups to support their learning and development
- Help children with autism to manage their behavior and stay on track in class
- Implement behavior management strategies and work with children to develop positive behaviors
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and other members of the autism team to ensure that children receive the best possible support
- Keep accurate records and make observations to help teachers monitor and evaluate children's progress
Qualifications and experience:
- A relevant qualification in autism support or a related field
- Extensive experience working with children with autism
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
