The Asset & Access Senior Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the market access (MAx) strategies across priority assets within one or more of business units to ensure timely, sustainable access to medicines and vaccines for patientsin the UK.

This role will develop and execute early asset (pipeline) and launch readiness market access and pricing strategy to optimise the value of breakthroughs in the UK.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Access & Pricing Strategy:


Lead early pricing and access assessments for pipeline assets and ensure that UK needs are represented within global clinical and access strategies Lead communication and alignment across global and UK cross-functional teams to deliver a coherent launchreadiness strategy across pricing & reimbursement, access (national & sub-national), external engagement (e.g.

NHSE), health technology assessment (HTA), realworld evidence (RWE) etc.

Lead UK pricing strategy and develop best practices for price optimisation (including tender excellence where relevant) in UK Work closely with Global Market Access colleagues to develop the value proposition and negotiation strategy for launch assets Becomethe BU H&V strategic lead and provide clear perspective on priorities and market access strategy across the portfolio within a given BU


Competitor & Environmental Dynamics:
Address challenges arising in the dynamic UK access environment, anticipate key trends, analyse organisational implications and translate into strategic recommendations for the BU Provide insights and evidence to support optimal VPAS negotiations and influenceother policies that impact pricing and access strategy in the UK Monitor the competitive pricing and access landscape and develop proactive and reactive tactics to manage risks/threats and ensure optimal access and uptake


Culture & Thought-Leadership:
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Asset & Access Team to ensure a one mindset and perspective in all strategies and customer engagement and help position as market access thought-leaders Partner with key stakeholders, academia and relevant institutions(e.g. NHSE, AHSNs, ICSs), in collaboration with other H&V functions, to build capability and lead the industry in value-based reimbursement models.


Work with H&V colleagues to identify new opportunities for value creation based on an understanding of Health Care systems and the potential benefits of medicines.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS,SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:
Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Public Health, or other relevant area Prefer advanced degree in Business, Health Economics, Public Health, Life Sciences, or other relevant area


Experience:

Experience in pharmaceutical or related field required Experience in market access and launching new pharmaceutical products into an HTA or single-payer market preferred Cross-functional experiences including marketing, sales, finance, market analytics valuedExperience in developing innovative solutions to secure patient access to medicines within a large national health systems would be valuable


Skills:
Strong understanding of the UK market access environment, drug development process, strategic and operational planning processes Knowledge and understanding of health economics and associated disciplines Proven ability to build coalitions and develop strongpartnerships internally across functions and externally with different types of influential stakeholders Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, coupled with outstanding writing and presentation skills Abilityto work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges, think strategically and tackle complex problems, intellectual curiosity and ability to spot trends/pattern
