Learning Support Assistants

Full-time or part-time hours available

Are you the someone special we are looking for to join our team at The Ferns Primary Academy?


If you want to improve the life chances of children and have a desire to provide outstanding learning opportunities as a Learning Support Assistant, we would love to hear from you.


You will support pupils either individually or in groups with resourcefulness, high expectations of learning and behaviour and lots of smiles Patience, motivation and resilience are key.

Experience supporting children with additional needs and challenging behaviour is desirable but, what you may lack in experience, you will make up for in tenacity and a willingness to learn.


In return, you will be well supported as part of a very friendly school team and will benefit from a wide range of training and development opportunities within the Academy and Trust.

Hours to be discussed but likely to be:

32.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday

17.5 (mornings 8:30am - 12pm) or afternoons 12:30pm-3:15pm) Mon-Friday

term time only (39 weeks including inset days)

Salary is within the range £18,459 - £22,526 FTE depending on experience.

(full-time actual pro rata salary £14,205 to £17,335)
