Working in partnership with a people management software company we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the successful finance team in Manchester.

This role is permanent, full-time, and based at the Manchester centre office.


Working closely with the Management Accountant you will support with the delivery of monthly management accounts, key financial reporting and supporting with other daily tasks.


Working in a fast-paced business expanding not only in the UK but also overseas, you'll be exposed to a variety of tasks and responsibilities as the business grows.

This role requires prompt and accurate information to be delivered to the senior managementteam and is ideal for a part qualified accountant looking grow with the business as it expands.


JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monthly Management Accounts, which includes:
  • Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Prepayments and Accruals.
  • Bad debt analysis and reserve calculation.
  • Deferred income preparation
  • Journals preparation and postings.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation and investigation of any discrepancies.
  • Funds flow and Cash flow.
  • Revenue/client base breakdown analysis.
  • Weekly Cash flow forecast.
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Quarterly VAT return preparation.
  • Asset Management.
  • Purchase Ledger tasks
  • Credit card reconciliation.
  • Insurance policies approval and monthly reconciliation/reporting.
  • Liaising with suppliers/banks/other departments where appropriate
  • Assist the Management Accountant with providing accurate and prompt information to the Head of Finance
  • Assisting the Senior Sales Ledger Clerk with contract processing when required
  • Previous experience of working in an Assistant Management Accountant role
  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA is preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and in written form
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • An analytical mindset and ability to implement improvements
  • Must be organised and selfmotivated with strong attention to detail
