Description

Due to our continued growth into the 2023 season, we are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual, with a love for the outdoors, plants and gardening.


We are offering an exciting opportunity for self-motivated individuals who have prior horticultural knowledge and a good understanding of grounds maintenance to join our friendly, experienced team.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • A full, clean driving licence.
  • PA1/PA6. (preferred)

Specific roles and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Lawn Mowing.
  • Strimming.
  • Maintenance of shrubs and flower beds.
  • Hedge cutting/Pruning.
  • Tree Pruning.
  • Litter Picking.
  • Beds and Border Edging
  • Tree and Shrub Planting
  • Work to a high standard, completing jobs within set timescales to an agreed specification.
  • Be competent in the use of petrol powered and nonpowered hand tools, pedestrian lawn mowers and ride on mowers.
  • Take responsibility that vehicles and machinery are working properly and maintained.
  • Selfmotivated
  • Professional and motivated to do the best job for their team

Hours: 7.00 to 4.00pm (April - Oct)/ 8.00 to 4.00pm (Nov - March). Weekend Availability for busy periods.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Swadlincote: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:

Grounds Maintenance: 1 year as minimum (preferred)
