This role is based at our Wade International, Halstead site.

Main Purpose of Role:

Managing the Purchase ledger and credit control for the Gatic brand.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Entering of Purchase invoices for stock and nonstock items.
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger.
  • Creating payment runs within due dates for suppliers in the UK and China.
  • Making sure that purchase invoices are approved according to the Delegated Authority Matrix.
  • Monitoring entries in the GRNI and chasing to complete them.
  • Reconciling supplier statements at monthend.
  • Clearing disputes with suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Liaison with internal staff to ensure timely clearance of invoices, and any queries with GRNI are resolved.
  • Engage with customers to successfully collect overdue debts and report any issues to management/credit insurers highlighting potential bad debts.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the Sales Ledger reviewing the aged receivables and resolving outstanding queries.
  • Any ad hoc tasks as requested by the finance department.

Key Requirements and Preferred Experience:


  • Experience in accounts in an SME environment.
  • Experience and knowledge using accounting software.
  • Experience in purchase ledger accounting.

Salary Range:
£24,000 - £26,000 DOE


Working Hours:
Mon - Thurs 08:30 - 17:00, Fri 08:30 - 14:30 _(There may be times you are required to work until 16:00 on a Friday, and any time would be given back in lieu)_
