Swift Temps are working with an industry leading client in Walton Summit Preston,

We are currently looking to employ Production / Manufacturing operatives to join on a temp to perm basis with a choice of available shifts.

The client has one of the best working environments available in the Preston Area.

Continuous upskilling
Permanent position with the client is available after 12 weeks.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a throughput on machines to achieve output and targets whilst meeting quality standards and ensuring that safe working practices are maintained at all times.
Provide temporary cover for colleagues who have to leave their machine(s) whilst still in operation.
Ensure batch integrity
Carry out line clearance procedures.
Carry out basic maintenance procedures e.g. weekly machine clean downs.
Liaise with maintenance to advise on machine problems.
Record press readings on statistical process charts in order to assess and, if necessary adjust the process.
Work with and support trainees and colleagues in all departments as required.
Respond positively to and work on priority requirements.
General housekeeping & other requested duties.

Requirements:

Prior experience in the production & manufacturing is essential
Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot production machinery is preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
Forklift certification is a plus, but training can be provided

Dayshift
Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00

£11.80 ph / £15.63ph OT After 40h + Sat / £20.84ph OT Sunday / BH
