Your New Role with Avicenna:


Reporting to the CEO, the Head of HR is responsible for leading Avicenna's HR team (3 direct reports) and managing all aspects of the human resources function for the organisation.

Working closely with the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team, the Head of HR will take ownership of developing and implementing HR strategies and programs, managing employee relations and engagement, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.


  • Develop and implement an HR plan that aligns with Avicenna's overall goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate the HR elements involved with integrating new acquisitions and TUPE.
  • Manage and develop the HR team, ensuring that all team members have the necessary skills and resources to effectively perform their roles.
  • Overall responsibility for the implementation and management of training and development across the company
  • Deliver monthly reporting and updates to the Board, and act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on all matters related to people and development.
  • Lead the payroll process, including bonus and commission payments.

  • Level 7 CIPD qualification or equivalent
  • Multisite experience, retail or healthcare an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience in a similar role or as a Senior Business Partner/Manager role
