Operations Manager

Social Housing Planned Works & Refurbs

£70-80k / Permanent

West Midlands Based


Here at Howells we are working with a leading property maintenance and refurbishment contractor to recruit an Operations Manager to run a Planned Works section of their business covering Redditch, Walsall and Tamworth in the West Midlands.


As the Operations Manager, you will directly manage a team of 7-8 Contract & Project Managers to deliver Social Housing Planned Works contracts on behalf of 5 clients across the region.

Portfolio of works includes decent homes, high rise refurbs and elementals,with an annual value of approx £15-18m.


We are looking for somebody who has experience working alongside local authorities and housing associations delivering and managing multiple programmes of a similar value.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of your business region, commercialand contractual performance, and client satisfaction.


Skills & Experience required:

  • Social Housing experience, particularly planned works and refurbishments
  • Knowledg of Schedule of rates
  • IT skills, including job scheduling systems
  • Ability to work under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines in a client facing role
  • Willingness to travel across the region
