As a Disaster Recovery Leadyour main responsibilities will be
- Plan, build, manage DR for DDaT across the DDaT delivered service lines, including DR strategies, plan development, plan exercising, annual program agendas and recovery improvement metrics
- Participate in assessments of the impact of potential disruptions in IT services, including how a disaster is declared and activating the DR plan.
- Plan how the execution and completion of DR test activities will be conducted
- Work to collaborate with business continuity management (BCM), business unit management, external business partners and key IT staff members to plan, direct, control and maintain effective DR plan testing.
- Be responsible for recovery and serve as the key IT liaison to the enterprise BCM team, ensuring that IT technologies and processes support all key availability and recovery requirements — for example, crisis management, business recovery and supplier contingency.
- Review contracts, along with associated servicelevel agreements (SLAs), for external DR service providers, as required.
- Assume management responsibility for DR ensuring adequacy of endstate production recovery environments, meeting all strategic planning deliverables, and coordinating activities of technology resources with key business units and development groups, as required.
- Initiate and manage recovery capacity planning coordination with key IT technology groups in support of specific business unit initiatives (current, planned and new).
- Oversee the design, execution and continuous improvement of DR plans through rigorous exercising.
- Interface with the Technology Programme to ensure that new and ongoing projects sustain the level of recoverability consistent with business objectives.
- Perform all departmental administrative activities, including staff meeting attendance, monthly status reporting, strategic planning, staff management, and other activities, as assigned, in a timely fashion.
