Group Accountant | Bonus + Car + Shares | York | £40,000 - £45,000

Castlefield Recruitment are working with a leading employer in York to find a Group Accountant to join their highly experienced team.

They are looking for a strong and ambitious qualified Accountant that is interested in exposure to a group accounting role.

Ideally you will have experience with both year and month-end accounting, however they do not require that you've had exposure to a group business and consolidations

The company offer an excellent package, including: Bonus, car allowance, share scheme, excellent pension, life assurance and 25 days holiday.

Duties will include:

Preparation and review of consolidated management information, including management accounts, forecasts and budgets
Preparation and review of statutory accounts, including Group consolidated accounts under IFRS
Maintain an effective and efficient control environment that meets the needs of the Group, while ensuring risks are identified and mitigated
Maintain a thorough understanding of the systems
Undertake data interrogation analysis and reviews
Accurately prepare and review management information requested from the Executive Board and senior management team

Person:

ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with experience within a management accounting role
Exposure to financial accounting and IFRS is preferred, not essential
Excellent MS Excel capabilities, with experience on Pivot Tables and Vlookups and managing large datasets
Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with nonfinance staff
Strong MS Excel skills and experience on ERP systems
