Band 2 Clerical Officer for Pre-Operative Assessment [POA] Service, North Sector Based at Stobhill Hospital

2 x fixed term posts for 9 months


This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic and evolving service; to support effective clinical care and efficient Health Records service to patients, medical and nursing staff.

Your post will focus on all aspects of patient appointments for the pre-op service, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times.

You will ensure all information is processed accurately and that patients' health records remain confidential, are securely stored and are available as and when necessary.

You will work to support effective clinical care by providing an efficient administrative, clerical and receptionist service, maintaining electronic and paper-based patient record systems and providing confidential, accurate & up to date information.

You will maintain patient demographic and administrative data through continual checking and updating of the patient management system

  • Previous clerical experience is required.
  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills.
  • Previous reception experience would be desirable
  • Good communication skills required.
  • Prior experience of using a Patient Management System (PMS) would be desirable.
The hours are worked. Normally Monday -Friday 09:00-17:00 but may require flexible hours worked to cover service needs.
