The East Midlands Special Operations Unit are looking to recruit two PIP 2 accredited (or equivalent) Investigators to join the Criminal Finance Team, based within the East Midlands Area for Leicestershire Police.

You will be managing, investigating, and detecting Serious and Organised Fraud and Financial Crime across the East Midlands region.


Your role will involve liaising across multi-agency partners such as police officers, police staff, NCA agents, law enforcement agencies, crown prosecution service and other agencies and partners in relation to investigations and other relevant issues.


Key Responsibilities

  • You will manage and investigate financial crime in line with the Senior Investigating Officer's policy and investigation objectives.
  • Interview victims of crime and any other witnesses, fully complying with the 'victim's charter' including evidential witness statements.
  • To obtain search warrants and production orders from Magistrate or Crown Court.

The must haves

  • You must be educated to Degree level standard or equivalent OR be able to demonstrate equivalent relevant work in complex criminal investigation.
  • You must be PIP 2 accredited, or equivalent with recent experience of working in an investigative role (last 3 years) to maintain status.
  • You must be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of legislation and procedure associated with the investigation of financial crime i.e. RIPA, PACE, CPIA, POCA.

Salary - £36,996 - £39,036:

  • Due to MV/SC requirements, you must have 5 years continuous residency in the UK.


For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
