Accountant Recruit is partnering an owner managed SME on the Wirral to recruit a part time Company Accountant.

The role would suit a Management Accountant or Finance Manager keen to oversee the finance function of a small business.

The Company Accountantwill have the following responsibilities:

Oversee the finance operations of the Company.
Preparation of monthly management accounts and communicate the financial position to the management team including full income statement, balance sheet and other supporting schedules.
Review the content of monthly management accounts to ensure they accurately reflect the results and report performance against budget and prior year.
Preparation of annual budgets.
Preparation of detailed working papers and evidence required for audit.
Ensure that all statutory reporting is complied with including ensuring the statutory financial statements are filed on time as well as accurate completion and filing of VAT returns and selfassessments for the directors.
Manage one team member and ensure all transactions, including supplier invoices are posted accurately in the finance system and then paid at specified dates.
Manage monthly payroll and accurate reporting to HMRC both monthly and year end reporting.
Preparation of ad hoc sales reports as requested by the Sales team.
