We at Streamline Search are representing a reputable Waste Management company based in Northwest London who are actively seeking an HGV Fitter to join their team.


Our client provides full 360 waste management and recycling services to private, commercial, and local government clients across London and the UK.

They operate large mixed fleet of vehicles consisting of but not limited to HGV's, Grab Lorry and Hiab whichare used in a variety of services in which they operate.


(HGV Fitter) - Position Overview


As a fundamental part of their workshop team, the job is vital for the smooth and consistent performance of their fleet.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, duties of the role include servicing, repair, pre-MOT testing and inspection of all companyvehicles.

All work should be completed to the approved standards in accordance with the manufacturer, Department for Transport (DfT), the Operator's Licence, ensuring that vehicles are always maintained to the highest possible standard as is associated withthe business.


(HGV Fitter) - Position Requirements

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work to timelines.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of commercial and plant vehicles.
  • Strong communicator and effective in a small team.
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop.
  • Class 1 license desirable.

(HGV Fitter) - Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £42,000 £48,000 (Dependent on experience)
  • 07:00 16:00 Monday Friday
  • 28 days holiday, including bank holidays
