Are you passionate about the Mental Capacity Act? Are you an individual with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm? We're looking for an individual with excellent knowledge around the Mental Capacity Act to take the agenda forwards as we move towards the implementation of the Liberty Protection Safeguards.


  • To oversee the implementation and operational delivery of the Liberty Protection Safeguards across the Trust under the guidance of the Named Leads for Safeguarding and Deputy Chief Nurse.
  • To manage the transition process between the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and the Liberty Protection Safeguards.
  • To ensure that best practice is embedded Trust wide in line with relevant legal frameworks.
  • To ensure that accurate records are maintained and disseminated as required to the Care Quality Commission or other bodies in line with statutory responsibilities.
