The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences (HaSS) is seeking to appoint a Learning Technologist to work within the Faculty IT development team.

The successful applicant will primarily focus upon the creation of new, and conversion of existing courses to online learning.

Working closely with academic colleagues you will have excellent communication and customer facing skills, producing high quality teaching material with particular focus upon online, blended and distance learning styles of delivery.

You will provide expert advice to enhance teaching, learning and assessment through the utilisation of learning technologies including Moodle VLE, and collaborative platforms such as Office365 (MS Teams), Zoom, YouTube live streaming for engaged group working, interactive learning and discussion forums.

The successful applicant will join a team of specialists who are responsible for delivering Faculty IT services and supporting academic colleagues in the use of technology.

A flexible approach to work is required, with the team providing excellent customer service that may include occasional evening and weekend support.

It is anticipated that formal interviews for this post will be held during the week beginning 11 September 2023.
