Sharp Consultancy are thrilled to work alongside an ever-growing and extremely successful Sheffield based company within the steel industry. There is an opportunity for a Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent Financial Controller with SAP knowledge to join the company for an initial 6 month interim contract to assist with an exciting period of change, supporting a system upgrade and establishing a brand-new team

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing the new team to cover Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Local Treasury and Credit Control.
Supporting the implementation of SAP system upgrade.
Updating existing systems and documentation.
Reviewing procedures and authorising improvements.
Monthly accounts preparations to trial balance.
Advising on IRFS matters.
Develop controls to assist with the compliance of legislation and company policies.
Assisting in project and capital expenditure appraisals.
Overseeing company insurance policies and claims
Generating liquidity planning for the business investigating/improving performance.
Cash pooling.
Monthly accounts preparations to trial balance.
Manage Banking relationships
Executing supplier financing and parent company guarantees when necessary.
Work as part of finance department, supporting with the needs of the business and requests of the CFO.
Be a qualified accountant.
Have 5 years post qualification experience at a minimum.
Have experience of working with a manufacturing establishment.
Have the ability to implement accounting systems.
Have great SAP software knowledge.
Hold current IRFS accounting knowledge.
