Description
Logistics Coordinator needed for a globally known company in Slough.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for order processing and timely shipping of all sales orders received.

In particular but not exclusively, this will involve:

  • Raising delivery notes for picking orders.
  • Providing packing & shipping instructions to warehouse & freight forwarders.
  • Coordinating collection of shipments from warehouse via freight forwarder.
  • Raising all necessary export documentation.
  • Advising customers of shipping details and forwarding necessary documentation.
  • Responsible for obtaining POD's for all shipments and filing accordingly
  • Organising preshipment inspections and dealing with inspection agencies.
  • Dealing with the banks with regards to Letters of Credits.
  • Dealing with the factories in China, Thailand and Egypt.
  • Preparing shipments of components to the Contract Manufacturers.
  • Checking the sales order book daily.
  • Updating dates from the PO summary.
  • Entering information onto freight spreadsheet.
  • Dealing with freight quotes.
