Thorner Surgery LS14 3DX are recruiting for a part time Medical Receptionist to work alongside our dispensing team at our branch site inThorner.

Shifts will be Monday to Friday. 20 hours per week. The telpehones system goes over at 8.30am

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or NHS experience is desirable but not essential.


Duties to include:

  • Dealing with patient appointment requests and any other queries, both over the telephone and face to face, directing patients to alternative services where appropriate
  • Processing patient prescription requests
  • Ensure correspondence, letters, reports, results etc. are accurately filed and scanned on to clinical system
  • Providing a friendly welcome to all patients and visitors to the practice
  • Assisting GP's and other practice team staff with any additional administration queries.
