Maintenance Engineer

Lindal-in-Furness, Cumbria

Monday - Thursday, 06:00 - 16:30 (30-minute lunch) + Occasional Night Cover

£34,000
We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.

You will beinvolved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation.

With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming teamof engineers.

Role Description

  • Deliver the maintenance programme which will include preventative maintenance, servicing schedule, equipment enhancements and regular checks (i.e. fire safety, PAT Testing)
  • Use problem solving techniques to ensure that machines are fixed speedily within the factory and warehouse to ensure that downtime is mínimal
  • Responsible for undertaking maintenance and repair jobs across the business in accordance with the day to day requirements
  • To update the standard operating procedures in accordance with the implementation of continual improvement techniques
  • To manage and plan site installations, commissioning and decommissioning of machinery and project engineering duties as required from time to time

  • Mechanical and electrical engineering experience
