Description
We are currently looking for a Port Plant Operative to work for a company based in South Tyneside.


The Role:


  • Operate plant and equipment in a Port environment such as reach stacker, hopper and FLT
  • Handling shipping containers
  • Shunting containers around site using Tugs
  • Carry out hatchman/banksman duties on vessel and quayside operations
  • Load and unload vehicles as per company procedures
  • Receive and dispatch goods and material into storage

The Person:


  • Experience using heavy plant equipment
  • Experience of container handling
  • Relevant certificates, licenses and qualifications
  • Must be willing to work various shifts, Days and nights
  • Will need to undergo onsite medical and training/assessment
