They will have excellent organisational and time-management skills and be able to prioritise work effectively to meet objectives and deadlines.

They will be comfortable with and proactively adapt to rapid changes in educational trends within the sector.

They will be able to plan and prioritise their own schedule of work to achieve objectives, have strong IT skills, and be happy to be part of a close-knit team with shared objectives.

We are offering an opportunity to join our nationally recognised creative team as a Performing Arts Lecturer.

Working at our dedicated Arts campus, you will join the team offering a wide range of theatre, dance, and performing arts programmes.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Kendal's outstanding arts organisations, such as the Brewery Arts Centre, Lakeland Arts Trust, and the town's groundbreaking international festivals.


Teaching experience is desirable, but we are looking for someone who is confident in sharing their experience and knowledge with our students.

We would support you in gaining a formal teaching qualification alongside your work with us.


Job Overview:

Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a variety of curriculum disciplines.

Research & Consultancy: Engage in significant research and consultancy activities to enhance the academic and practical learning experience.

Course Verification & Leadership:Oversee course verification processes, coordinate course teams, and provide leadership to ensure high standards of education.

Impactful Role:Play a crucial role in shaping the future of the related industry by mentoring and educating the next generation of skilled professionals.

What we're looking for:


Qualifications:


Essential

Desirable
A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to obtain within 2 years of appointment
A Bachelor/Master's degree in an required discipline
Level 4 qualification (BTEC HNC, NVQ) in a theatre, performing arts or be willing to work towards it
English, Maths, and Science at Level 2 (GCSE A*
