Planning Associate - Director

West Midlands

Location - flexible


Penguin Recruitment is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an Associate or Director level Planner to join a world-renowned Engineering firm at their West Midlands based office.


The current team provides a range of town planning services to public and private sector clients with an ever-expanding portfolio of projects centred on major urban extensions and garden communities comprising tens of thousands of new homes.

The role thereforepresents the opportunity to make a difference at a strategic scale working with nationally recognised clients.


The current team is seeking an experienced town planner with a demonstratable track record of delivering work within the property sector for strategic landowners and developers.

You will have a key client-facing role leading out on the successful deliveryof strategic mixed-use urban extensions, new settlements, and garden communities with high profile clients.

You will have a proven track record in managing key client accounts and winning new business. The role requires you to secure new instructions for the planning team as well as cross-selling in-house services.

You will be expected to also have the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified to degree level in Town Planning and have full membership of the RTPI.
  • Technically confident and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ambitious, with the ability to support the growth of the planning team.
