Description

Main purpose of job:

General reception, cash handling, food preparation and housekeeping duties.


Start Date:
ASAP


Hours:

Part time hours - Evening shifts between 5:30pm-9pm Monday to Friday & working at least one weekend shift 4pm to 8pm.


Short Term contract until end of September

This post is for evening shifts only and must be able to work Saturday and Sunday evenings on a rota basis and overtime may be available to cover day staff.

Weekend rota specifically will be on a three week schedule.
Week - Saturday
Week - Sunday
Week - Saturday and Sunday
Week - Saturday
etc...


Relationships:


  • Report to club council management representative
  • Liaison with club council and BCC staff.

Main tasks of job:


  • Interact and communicate effectively with visitors, members, guest and club council
  • Answering the phone to take bookings or deal with enquiries
  • Handle cash transactions with customers using electronic till (which include items from the shop, green fees etc) and follow 'cash up' procedures at the end of each shift
  • Preparing hot snacks (Sausage Rolls/Soup etc) for members
  • Maintain stock levels and place orders when required
  • General housekeeping (i.e. hoover/mop locker room)
  • Any other duties as required.


The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties and the Receptionist/Customer Service Advisor will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by their changing role within the club and the overall business objectives of the club.


  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (training for this will be provided if necessary)
  • Previous experience working in a reception / customer facing role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent telephone manner
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Proactive approach to work duties
  • Adhere to cash handling procedures
  • Report accidents, maintenance issues or other incidents
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
