Job description

  • Permanent
  • The South East Engineering, Design, Growth and Enterprise (EDGE) Hub is a Universitywide strategic initiative which fosters strong links with industry and creates pipelines of employable graduates to meet regional skills gaps and strengthen the regional economy.
  • The EDGE Hub Coordinator will have overall responsibility for managing a number of projects and workstreams aimed at meeting the South East EDGE Hub's strategic themes, which include:
  • STEM Education Community
  • Education and Learning
  • Employability
  • Research and Innovation
  • Sustainability
  • As the project coordinator, what you will be doing day to day activities include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the wider EDGE Hub team, taking responsibility for projects coordination, planning and governance.
  • Coordinating planning industry and education outreach and networking events
  • Assisting in EDGE Hub activities Worldwide CDIO Initiative and other industry/education partner opportunities designed to enhance curriculum, students' success and employability, apprenticeships, CPD, and other development opportunities for professionals, research and innovation, enterprise and knowledge transfer partnerships.
  • What are we looking for:
  • Proven experience in a similar role in with competing demands and priorities
  • Experience of project coordination in Higher Education or Industry and ensuring project actions are complete.
  • Evidence of digital literacy, willingness to proactive keep digital skills upt to date, for example European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or proven experience in the use of MS Office Packages (MS Word and MS Excel in particular.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy skills, ability to identify, and foster relationships with colleagues across the University, and a professional attitude to work and communication.
