Kitchen Assistant_

We are looking for a kitchen assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. The role is varied and ranges from assisting the chef to pot washing.

Holmwood House Care Centre is a 59- bed care home based in Swaffham with a lively atmosphere and a friendly team.

We support elderly residents with a variety of care and nursing needs each and every day and we need people like you to join our friendly team.

The Role:

• Assist chef with food preparations
• Independently prepare hot meals/breakfasts/sandwiches for residents
• Cleaning kitchen and equipment
• Collecting and distributing crockery from residents' areas
• Clear tea trolleys
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
• Preparing evening meals.

About you:

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
• Assisting the chef to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
• A committed and organised approach.
• Flexible to work different shifts.
• The ability to work well in a team.

Shift Pattern - 7am-7pm

Salary:
£10.72 per hour

Experience:
