Weir Minerals Europe is part of the Weir Group PLC, the business has been established for over 150 years and is a world leader in the design and manufacture of pumps, valves, cyclones, vibrating screen machines, crushers and other associated equipment for the mining and minerals processing industries.


Business Need / Purpose of Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, intelligent and highly organised Shipping Coordinator to provide an effective & proactive administrative support to the import / export manager.


This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a face-paced environment, takes ownership of the details and takes pride to deliver on time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Arranging EU & international collections
  • Creating collection documentation
  • Preparation of Chamber of Commerce documentation
  • Collection & electronic filing of Customer POD's.
  • Proactively administering track & trace of inbound & outbound shipments
  • Reviewing & maintaining company daybook
  • Dealing with internal & external customer delivery enquiries
  • Communication with freight forwarders to arrange collections & consolidate loads
  • SAP posting of goods to create invoices & ECSI preparation to ensure smooth movement of goods through customs.
  • Preparation of Dangerous Goods documentation

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstratable shipping experience is desired
  • SAP ECC & EWM shipping skills would be advantageous.
  • Problem solving/Continuous improvement experience is desirable.
  • Experience in a manufacturing shipping environment is desirable.
  • IT literacy is required, able to use Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Meticulous eye for detail due HMRC document preparation
  • High degree of flexibility & initiative
  • Experience in sales/customer service role is required.
  • Distribution/Logistics experience is desirable.

Working hours & benefits:

  • 37 Hours based on site
