JOB PURPOSE:


To provide a high standard of support to Operations through efficient movement of materials, material transportation, accurate transactions and timely supply of materials to the Halls.

Also, to maintain all storage areas in a tidy and organised manner ensuring that all materials are all identified and correctly located.

Will also be required to process Perpetual stock counts to a high level of accuracy and to ensure Health and Safety is given the highest priority.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Responsible for:


  • Loading and offloading vehicles as required in a safe manner and reporting any damage to materials at the time.
Checking and verifying paperwork on receipt of materials.
Locating materials in the appropriate locations and storing in a safe manner.
Scan stock using IR identification labels and carrying out a full stock count when required.
Receipting goods in and printing labels with correct locations.
In addition, understanding the process for moving material locations and reprinting labels when required.
Generating material requests.
Raising transfer notes for Finished Goods.
Updating the Master WIP sheet for any movement on site.
Creating shipping documents via Pick & Ship system using delivery schedule to view required deliveries for customers.
Booking Courier deliveries.
Managing the segregation and handling of waste to ensure the maximum amount of material is recycled.
Acting as a Banksman to any vehicles arriving or leaving site.

Managing Relationships
Liaise with Warehouse Supervisor or Deputy in order to understand priorities, expectations and plans for the shift.
Liaise with Operations function to ensure the timely supply of materials.
Liaise with Warehouse colleagues to ensure that all tasks are covered and whether support is required
Immediately report any concerns or issues immediately to Warehouse Supervisor of Deputy

Driving Results

Report any issues of missing material, missing labels and situations where material cannot be located immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor or Deputy.

Deal with any performance issues where appropriate and escalate to Shift Managers if required.

Service Excellence
Keep Warehouse Supervisor up to date with progress during and at the end of each shift.
Ensure that work requirements are carried out in priority order as determined by the Warehouse Supervisor or their deputy.
Adhere to company absence and timekeeping expectations and policies

Health and Safety and Standards
Ensue adhere to Company Health & Safety policies and procedures
Carry out the required safety checks on FLT's and immediately report any concerns
Report any accidents or damage immediately

Ensure that all visitors and employees are always compliant with H&S requirements within the warehouse areas - including the wearing of PPE.

Identify and rectify any situation or incident where H&S standards drop below expected standards.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and improved in line with the factory standard.
Ensure that all employees are complying with Workwear standards and PPE requirements.


QUALIFICATONS:


Educational and professional:

Current fork truck drivers' licence.
Banksman trained

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
Understanding the products and processes associated with the production environment.
Good communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced & high-volume manufacturing environment
Ability to react quickly and adapt to change on a daily basis
Passionate about results and fundamental belief in Health & Safety
Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
Ability to use own initiative, work within a team as well as work on your own.
Knowledge of V2 and good level of computer literacy
Ability to prioritise workload and be self motivated
