About Evolve
We're looking for an Apprenticeship Coordinator to join the team.

This interesting role includes managing recruitment across London, Birmingham, and West Midlands and supporting with the line-management of apprentices, as well as helping our third sector and business partners at events, or with initiatives.

We also have excellent accredited and non-accredited training and development opportunities.

The ideal person would have an understanding of recruitment and prior administration experience, as this role will be heavily recruitment and admin based while you build a caseload of apprentices to manage.

More important is an individual keen to learn, develop, and a passion to make a difference to those disadvantaged from the labour market.

Role description

  • Supporting with the onboarding of apprentices through internal employment compliance, and the arrangement of provision required for apprentices to meet H&S requirements to work on a construction site. This includes enrolment of the Apprentice into the appropriate course with third party training providers.
  • Supporting with the linemanagement of Apprentices and their Host contractor by managing weekly timesheets/payroll, and maintaining accurate records in training provision and employment compliance. Management disciplinary procedures and improvement plans as the employer of the Apprentice, with senior manager support.
  • Supporting the senior manager to develop effective partnerships in the delivery of the apprenticeship programme, including liaising with Evolve's legal team regarding human resource issues.
  • Supporting business development through sourcing further placement opportunities, and social media and marketing initiatives alongside the senior manager. We are active predominantly on LinkedIn, and you will be required to have a profile and be active on this platform.
  • Supporting the organisation at meetings and events, presenting a positive image of the service to support business growth opportunities.
  • To report to the senior manager with business development and recruitment in Birmingham and West Midlands, you will not be required to travel to these areas for this.
  • Meet targets within the employment and skills sector primarily focused on the recruitment and sustainment of apprentices.
  • Motivate young people on the great career opportunities in construction and the benefits of completing an apprenticeship in this industry.
  • Empathy and understanding to assist with a caseload of diverse people, potentially with complex needs.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels you will be liaising with job seekers of all ages/backgrounds, referral partners, training providers, and existing/new clients.
