Claims Auditor - Home Based - About the role
My market leading client are looking for an experienced Insurance Claims Auditor to their team.


You will work as part of a team performing coordinated audits and individually delivering singleton audits across all business areas.

For larger coordinated audits, the Senior Auditor will lead a team of auditors.


Claims Auditor - Home Based - Key duties


You will support the broader activities of the Audit team helping to develop our ways of working to provide value to clients.

You will support the delivery of the annual audit plan.

Working individually and as part of a team accountable for scheduling, preparing, performing and providing required reporting on each audit assignment.


Specific responsibilities include:
Communicating with relevant parties (Managing Agents, London Brokers, Coverholders and Third Party Administrators) regarding the scheduling of the reviews, the provision of required due diligence information and file selection for the review;
On-Site/off-site and remote underwriting file, claims file and governance audits based on varying client scope requirements;
Report composition post review including finalising and collating reports as per varying client SLA and company requirements;
Leading delivery of singleton and smaller coordinated audits;
Attendance at client meetings, as appropriate, and delivery of market presentations, as required;
Build a strong understanding of client audit scopes and requirements; and


Claims Auditor - Home Based - Key duties
Technical Insurance experience (typically at least 5 years' experience in a technical underwriting or claims handling role);
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills;
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail;
Strong report writing skills;
Ability to act as lead auditor supported by and directing other audit resources;
Excellent time management and strong organisation skills including managing own workload to meet internal and client service levels;
Experience of communicating effectively with senior managers at coverholders, TPAs and clients;
Strong organisational skills and a proven ability to juggle competing priorities; and

Knowledge and understanding of Lloyd's and London Market practices.

Experience of auditing, quality assurance or peer review;
University undergraduate degree, ACII or equivalent experience;
Committed team player;
Experience in following an audit scope or report scope;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook);
Ability to travel internationally to assist other territories and across the UK
