Description
IPASS is a specialist service whose key role is to facilitate stepped care between GPs and secondary care.

The aim is to provide effective, patient centred care of patients with spinal related pain and this post offers a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering high quality, compassionate care to this patient group.

The post will cover the West of Berkshire and will include travel between sites. We are integrated with an excellent pain service and work very closely with them.

There is regular clinical and peer supervision available and a highly supportive APP team who thrive on service development and driving forward evidence-based practice.

The role will involve conducting detailed assessment of spinal pathology and non MSK causes of pain including but not limited to rheumatology, neurology, vascular, oncology and chronic pain

Case discussion with spinal consultants

Organizing appropriate investigations for example blood tests and MRI scans

Discussing onwards management with patients in a compassionate and empathetic manner

The role will also involve high level supervision of staff in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy services

The 4 "must haves" for you to be considered for this role:
High level clinical reasoning and MSK skills

Ability to identify non MSK causes of symptoms

Excellent communication skills

Car driver with ability and readiness to travel to multiple sites
