Vacancy Location; Allendale, North East and our Head Office in Gateshead


Salary / Rate of Pay; from £26K


Contract type; Fixed Hours, Permanent


Number of hours available in total; 47 hours (which includes a sleeping night) plus additional overtime available


Essential Criteria; Male, Driver with access to their own vehicle. Travel expenses paid at 0.45p per mile.

Shift pattern(s) available; Our Team Leads work across their cases, as well as line managing their teams and, completing all the associated quality and administrative tasks during agreed weekly office time.

  • At present there is one fixed hour session cover required on a case that you will be leading on in the Allendale area of Northumberland. Session start time; Monday 8:00 20:00 then, 20:00 8:00, this is a 24 hour shift including a sleeping night.
  • Your remaining hours will be split across your allocated cases. This will involve some smaller session cover hours, these will be discussed at interview, alongside agreeing allocated time each week.

An overview of some of cases you would be leading on;

  • This case requires you to work the 24 hour session every Monday (as stated above). The gentleman suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury as a result of a car accident. He is a very sociable and cheerful man who enjoys music and singing, watching movies, going out on day trips, playing games, gardening/growing veg, electronics and swimming. He lives in his own home with 24/7, with 1:1 support.

Staff would be required to assist with:

personal care tasks such as assisting him to get showered and dressed in the morning etc, moving and handling - using a stand aid to assist him out of bed and into his wheelchair/shower chair, daily housework; wiping surfaces, sweeping/mopping the floor, doing laundry etc.

He also requires you to complete meal preparation - planning meals, cooking meals and following food hygiene.


  • You would be supporting a gentleman in his 40's who sustained a head injury while paying 5-aside. He lives at home with his wife in Cramlington and enjoys playing golf, football, swimming and going to the gym. The gentleman is very sociable and needs support with most areas of his life. He is not able to take on any new learning and can be very repetitive so needs friendly and resilient staff. He needs 2:1 support with meal prep, medication, physio routines, accessing the community and mobility.


As well as playing an important role in delivery of care for the above clients, you would also be responsible for overseeing the quality and sustainability of their support, developing and managing high quality, community-based support packages for these individuals.

You will safeguard the people we support at all times, develop strategies and tasks to support the clients to achieve identified goals.

You will train and manage a team of Support Workers to deliver the agreed support packages.

Supervise and observe Support Workers to ensure the agreed care plans are being met and support strategies are being implemented effectively.

You will oversee staff rotas with the support of a Resource Administrator, ensuring all support hours are staffed appropriately and supporting the Resource Administrator to manage staff absences.


This role is will also involve you overseeing and being contingency on two smaller cases, these will be discussed at interview.
