EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


You will be part of a team that is responsible for operating and completing first line maintenance on a 12-month secondment at Frankley Water Treatment Works which includes Raw Water Sources, Raw Water Storage Reservoirs, through plant processes and Distribution Service Reservoirs.


Your role will be to produce drinking water to high quality standards for our customers, in the most cost efficient and safe manner.

You will participate in an annualised hours shift team working a 24/7/365 shift rota.

The shift rota gives great work/life balance and you will be rewarded with ample rest days and an annualised shift allowance in addition to your salary.


You will work alongside a dedicated maintenance team, day team, process team, Senior Technician and Area Manager using control platforms such as SCADA and PRISM to operate the works on a mixture of morning, day and night shifts.

The role will include team and lone working.

  • Water Treatment Process Knowledge/Experience
  • Codified/Local Procedures Understanding/Experience
  • Shift work experience
  • Knowledge/Experience of Different IT systems including MS packages and SCADA systems
  • Experience of working within a Continuous Improvement environment
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • Experience of writing Systems of Work
  • Maintenance knowledge/experience
  • Breathing Apparatus training and confined space experience
