Senior Quality Specialist-Product Improvement

Salary:
£54,739+ dependent of skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

Responsible for the coordination, integration and management of product improvement activities across functional stakeholders.
Manage improvement activities across multidisciplined teams located both on site and with virtual support
Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Operations teams to ensure that continuous improvement activities are agreed, managed and progressed
Provide regular reports of improvement status, implementation progress and benefits realised for management and senior leadership team reviews
Promote the product improvement culture across the business
Represent the business within Air Sector improvement forums, ensuring best practise is shared through the Material Review Boards (MRBs) and Corrective Action Boards (CABs)
Perform objective process confirmations to demonstrate pre

- and post
- improvement based performance

Collaborate and communicate across our business functions, presenting factual information to our internal and external stakeholders

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

Has the ability and proven record to drive improvements, moving the organisation forward from beyond compliance to a more lean and effective one
Is familiar with key investigation and improvement tools and techniques (6 sigma, 8D, PFMEA, lean) with the ability to interpret data

Desirable

Working towards, or holding six sigma green or black belt accreditation

The Quality Team:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quality Specialist working within the Air Sector based at the Samlesbury unit facility.

The role is to lead product improvements across the portfolio of Europe & International products (Typhoon, Hawk and T45 aircraft).

Here you will have the opportunity to visit other sites to conduct your work as needed, growing your internal network and meeting people face to face.

You will also be working as part of virtual team, in this muti faceted changing dynamic environment.
