Project Officer - Women and Children's and Diabetes, Endocrinology and Obesity

Band 6

Fixed Term appointment - 12 months


Please note that this is a King's Health Partners role and will be hosted by the employer, Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.


We are seeking a dynamic Project Officer to work across two esteemed Clinical Academic Programmes within King's Health Partners - Women and Children's Health (WCH) and Diabetes, Endocrinology and Obesity (DEO).

The post holder will oversee the smooth running of these programmes, focusing on the development and delivery of education and training projects, courses and materials that span across our partner organisations.

The post holder must therefore value academic excellence and consistently seek to maximise impact for patients, students, staff, and partners.

The post holder will support, facilitate, and monitor the progress of Education and Training projects within KHP WCH and DEO, spending 50% of their time in each programme


The main duties include:

  • Coordinating the successful development and delivery of new and existing Level 7 (postgraduate) modules, short courses, training opportunities and preceptorships
  • Working with a range of stakeholders including KHP colleagues, students, senior clinicians and academics across the partner organisations, directors of Medical Education, industry partners and professional services teams
  • Providing project support to broader Education and Training workstreams and activities across WCH and DEO, including the development and delivery of patientfacing education sessions/ materials
  • Managing, maintaining, and developing any associated information system(s), monitoring progress of investment projects and business case investments and supporting the development of business plans


In line with our collaborative approach to share learning and good practice, reduce duplication and maximise impact, this post may be expected to work across other Clinical Academic Partnerships beyond WCH and DEO.
